| - On Distant Shores I know, I know. It's been a long time since I updated. Here's the 411:
We haven'te really been doing a dang thing at all. When I said we "haven't really" I really meant not a dang thing in the least. But hey, what can you do?
But anyway...
Billie and I have been stinkin' busy. She's been crazy busy with school. I've been super busy with wedding planning. We're gettiing really anxious though, so we are going to get together and start writing new stuff. Sing along songs? Yeah, we're gonna have them. Dancing songs? Yep, we'll have those, too. In your face songs? But of course!
And we may have found a drummer (although we haven't technically talked to her about it yet). She'd be a great addition to the Dektos crew. She's still perfecting her techniques, so we'll see how soon we can collaborate and blow your mind.
Well, that seems like all that's really going on in our lives. Billie and I might be doing an acoustic set sometime soon just so that we can get rid of some of our energy to play live. We're dying. We went to an awesome local show yesterday, and I think both she and I are missing rockin' out.
Keep on the lookout for us.

| It's official. Tiffany is leaving for Pittsburg on December 28th. We're SO sad to see her go, and we're still trying to convince her to stay! It's not working, to be honest, but hey. Anyway, now down to business.
Billie and I are going to start writing some new material. I think I'm going to stick myself in a room until I get a few songs done. In the meantime, that leaves us with no drummer. Which leads me to this statement:
If you or someone you know is a drummer and would like to join a pop punk/ska/alternative all girl band, let us know. There are some requirements and criteria.
1. First and foremost (and most importantly) you must be a follower of Christ. He must be number one in your life, before everything. 2. Second, you've got to be a GIRL. Sorry, boys. No dressing like girls. It won't work. We're an all girl band and that's it. 3. Third, we're not looking for anyone with a particular style and we're not looking for someone with a lot of experience. We're looking for someone with a lot of heart that is willing to learn, teach, and rock out! 4. Fourth, you need to live in Arizona! Preferrably the Phoenix area. Or even in Glendale. That would be lovely! Billie and I live in the Glendale/Peoria area, but Tiffany lived in Chandler. We're willing to drive that far if need be. 5. Fifth...we don't have a practice area. We used to practice at Tiffany's house, but since she's moving, we've lost our practice area. I will be moving soon because I'm getting married, but I'm not sure if where I'm moving will be ok to practice in. And Billie lives in an apartment, so that won't work.
So if you're interested, please contact us at dektosmusic@yahoo.com. If you want to get in contact with me personally (and to be honest, I'll get it faster here), e-mail me at shannontoboggan@aol.com, or Billie at xxskunkgirlxx@yahoo.com. Please pray about it and make sure that God's telling you it's cool. It's really important to have God's blessing on something like this. And remember, this band is here to glorify God through music that this generation can relate to.
Hope to hear from you soon!! ~Shannon | | |

| - Lucrece There's a lot going on...so I'm updating! Surprised, huh?
Today and last week, practice was amazing. We changed up a few songs to make them a little more dektosy and we have a new intro for you all to hear at the next Dektos show. We don't know when that is. :0)
Speaking of which, as some of you may or may not have heard, Dektos will be taking a short break. NO! WE'RE NOT BREAKING UP! There's just a lot going on in the lives of us. Billie needs to concentrate more on school. Tiffany's leaving the state for college in a month and a half, and I'm trying to get my wedding all together. So we're extremely busy. In late November, we'll have our last show with Tiffany and our last show before we take a break and find an awesome (temporary) drummer to fill some amazing shoes. And we'll be writing a lot of new music for you all to dance your socks off to.
So that's what's going on. We'll let you know about shows the second we know because we want all of you to be there. By the way, I am blessed to learn about two bands that are amazing, and no one told me about them
Ballydowse and the Deadlines. They're both amazing and worth your dollar and time.
That's all, and check out Showbread on November 14th and Roper on November 15th at ASU West campus. Be there or be dead.

Hey! We have a show coming up on Friday!
It's at The Experiment (Cave Creek and Sweetwater...visit www.azexperiment.com to see it on mapquest). There's 5 bands. It starts at 8:00pm and is $5. I know that the Bowlcut Kids are playing with us, but I'm not sure who the other bands are. Come out and support the local scene!
Hope to see you there!
